Compassion

Bryndee:  Mom, I think that we should get a new dog.  A brown one, like the one that the rabbit in the cartoon has.

Mom:  Um . . . (not knowing what exactly to say)

Some time passes

Bryndee:  OH, WAIT!!  Daisy would feel so sad if we got a new dog.

Mom:  I'm pretty sure Daisy would be very sad if we got a new dog.

Bryndee:  Well, I guess we just can't, then.  Hu, Mom.

Mom:  I guess we'll just have to keep Daisy.

I'm glad to see that she thinks of others' feelings, too . . . kind of :)
