We had a chance to go up to Scofield last month with the Wilkins. It was fun! Boston and I went up later than Tyler and the girls because three nights in a small cabin with an infant didn't seem like much fun to Boston or myself (call me a wet blanket if you want to, but it was better for everyone involved!). But the girls sure were ready!
We made the girls take up their helmets because there were going to be four wheelers and some riding to be done. Bailey didn't know what a four wheeler was before that, but she was still excited to have the helmet even in the car on the two hour drive up there :)
When she learned what it was and what it did, she was even more excited . . . if that was possible!
This is what Boston did most of the time we were there. You know what they say about a lot of fresh air and babies! Well, apparently, "they" (who ever that is) is right because he slept better there than he was doing at home (aside from the night thing . . . perhaps that's why he slept so well during the day!!!)
Bryndee and Bailey also learned what a s'more is. It went over well!
Electric Lake was just down the road a bit so one afternoon everyone played there. Who knew there could be so much mud in one little place!
All in all it was a success! Brandon absolutely won the prize for best team player for sitting out in his car in the middle of the night with the baby (not mine, but his own) that didn't want to settle down and sleep. Tyler and our little ones stayed for an extra day and night just so Tyler could have one extra day with no cell phone service. You can bet as soon as he got reception, the messages and calls started once again. We'll definitely do it again!
