We decided to go out of town to Las Vegas before baseball got into full swing (ha ha ha . . . I'm totally that funny!). So off we went to sunny, funny Las Vegas for a whole work/church calling free week :)
Boston and I did go, but rarely made appearances outside our room as the Bos-man was still pretty tiny. But Tyler and the girls went and went and went. I don't know that there was more than one day that Bryndee wasn't asking when she could go to bed. She pretty much went down with the sun, which was nice for a change!
The Bellagio had a stunning flower display going on that the girls loved. I did, too, really and it smelled amazing (which in Vegas is really a feat, what with all the smokers!). They had grown flowers over giant bugs and had water fountains running through all of it. Beautiful!
And the fountains were such fun! We had a prime location for the show and it seemed to go on and on and on which went perfect with Boston's eating schedule!
But above all, the pool was the most terrific part of the girls' first time to sin city. We found that Bailey is part fish. We had no idea this girl loved water sooooo much!
Boston even made it out to the pool once, but he didn't sun himself very much :) This is him . . . all wrapped up with no where to go!
We had lots of fun and the drives to and from Vegas weren't bad at all. Bryndee had some fun things to say about life down there, though. She asked several times why we didn't want her to look down at the side walks . . . or at the billboards . . . or at the newspaper bins . . . and several other places. It's getting hard now that she's starting to read so well. She also asked constantly, of course with impeccable timing, why so many people smoke there. Don't they know it's bad for them? I guess not, sweetie, but we all make our own decisions! And once Tyler sent her into the bathroom alone and she came out having befriended an African American woman who raved to Tyler about how adorable she is. Later she let Tyler know that she told the lady in the bathroom "Hola" (thinking that she was Latin and spoke Spanish!!). Thanks goodness for the teachings of Dora the Explorer . . . ha ha ha!!! I'm so so glad that we got Tyler all to ourselves for an entire week before we lost him again to . . . what season is it? Oh, right, baseball!
